The YMCA of the Treasure Coast is a cause-driven nonprofit, rooted in a history of service since 1977, committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility—led by a dedicated team and diverse board united by the Y’s mission.

Challenge

The YMCA of the Treasure Coast had a long-standing tradition with its annual Easter House Project raffle, a beloved fundraiser running for over three decades. But by 2020, the organization faced new challenges: reinvigorating interest in the event, reaching beyond their loyal donor base, and significantly boosting online ticket sales in an increasingly digital-first landscape.

Solution

Developed an 8 month multi-channel digital campaign including:

  1. Designed a new, mobile friendly website.
  2. Robust email series featuring custom graphic design and animations.
  3. Social media advertising to reach new individuals as well as retarget individuals who had expressed interest, but had not yet taken action.
  4. Custom video clips designed specifically for social media.

Results

Our digital campaign resulted in 720k+ impressions, more than 15,000 website clicks, over 90 hours of custom video content watched, and our ticket sales revenue exceeded the amount from the previous year by 174%.

Interestingly, social media advertising only attributed for about 35% of all campaign web traffic, yet resulted in almost 65% of our total estimated revenue! This was likely due to advanced retargeting and lookalike audience targeting based on past purchase data.

Additionally, our social advertising ROI averaged was over 8.5x making this an extremely effective and affordable tactic.
