The end of the year is a busy and long awaited time for many nonprofit organizations. It’s hard to prioritize what your team should be focusing on to increase fundraising. Luckily, Eman Osagie, Client Success Manager at Double the Donation, shared her expertise for FREE at our December 8th webinar “Make it Meaningful: Discussing Donor Engagement Strategies”.
We recently asked Eman to share some insights regarding her favorite donor engagement strategies, how she likes to unwind after the busy end-of-year giving season, and more!
Eman Osagie: Nonprofit organizations have a passion to help the community and deeply care about their mission. No matter the size or location of the nonprofit organization that I've worked with, this remains true.
Eman Osagie: Two of my sisters founded a charter school in New Jersey. When I graduated college, I spent the summer volunteering at a recruitment event they had. I also volunteered my time working with some of their students for a summer educational program. It was a really great experience and made me fall in love with helping nonprofit organizations!
Eman Osagie: Keep your donors invested in your mission through communication (email, phone calls, personal letters) and show them the impact of their giving. These actions go a long way and many of our nonprofit clients have seen their donors more engaged and invested when they continue to have open communication about the impact that occurred thanks to their donors' support.
Eman Osagie:
I always take at least 1 week off during the holidays so I'm able to spend time with family. My family is very important to me and it's great to end the year and start the year with them; it really keeps everything in perspective in what's important in life.
Eman Osagie:
I have four sisters! It's been great growing up with four sisters and now that we're all grown adults we're closer than ever!
